GUNGOR.
Check out the video at the top of the page of a raw acoustic set by Michael Gungor and his crew playing "when death dies". Also, pick up Gungor's new album "Ghosts upon the earth" if you get the chance. It is a ridiculously creative album that will awe you and cause you to worship all at the same time!
Ghosts Upon The Earth
HONORING STEVE JOBS. HONORING GOD.
DEAR STEVE
I have seen a lot of posts today honoring Steve Jobs, this one by far has caught my attention above all the others. God is in the business of redeeming all things and using even the death of a brilliant man to bring glory to His name.

MAY 1ST 2011
It was a great night of worship to start of the new month. We introduced a few new songs off of a couple of newer and great worship albums and I am pretty excited about the direction our worship is headed. We have had a couple of rocky points on the way and every week brings its new battles, so please continue to pray for us as we continue our desire to bring God's people into the his presence. A couple of the songs are now on the ipod, but not all of them would load. sorry! hope you enjoy them anyway and don't forget to check out kineochurch.org for the chords that we played.
Have a great week!

AWESOME NIGHT OF WORSHIP
If you weren't at Kineo Church last night for our 5 o'clock service at First Southern Baptist (31st Ave and Camelback) you missed out! It was an awesome night of praise and adoration as Pastor Jeff delivered an awesome message that stirred our hearts in anticipation for this upcoming week of remembering the cross and the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A few of the songs we sang together are now on the ipod to the left of this blog and more will be posted on our website (kineochurch.org) under the music tab in the "about" section.
If you have next Sunday free, please join us for our Easter celebration as we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We also have a Good Friday service that will begin at 5pm and we would love to see you there!

GOOD BAND. AWESOME SONG. FANTASTIC LYRICS. WORSHIP.
When you think of worship music, My Epic is probably not the first band that pops into your head for most people, but lately I have been listening to their song "lower still" repeatedly on my ipod and the lyrics to this song are so powerful that you can't help but be in worship with these guys. Not only are they talented musicians, but they have such a passion for God and it shows in each and every aspect of this song. Check it out!

Lyrics:
Look, he's covered in dirt
The blood of his mother has mixed with the Earth
and she's just a child who's throbbing in pain
from the terror of birth by the light of a cave
now they've laid that small baby
where creatures come eat
like a meal for the swine who have no clue that he
is still holding together the world that they see
they don't know just how low he has to go
Lower still
Look now he's kneeling he's washin' their feet
though they're all filthy fishermen, traitors and theives
now he's pouring his heart out and they're fallin' asleep
but he has to go lower still
there is greater love to show
hands to the plow
further down now
blood must flow
all these steps are personal
all his shame is ransom
oh do you see, do you see just how low, he has come
do you see it now?
no one takes from him
what he freely gives away
beat in his face
tear the skin off his back
Lower still, lower still
strip off his clothes
make him crawl through the streets
Lower still, lower still
hang him like meat
on a criminal's tree
Lower still, lower still
bury his corpse in the Earth
like a seed, like a seed, like a seed
Lower still, lower still
Lower still, lower still...
The Earth explodes
she cannot hold him!
And all therein is placed beneath Him
and death itself no longer reigns
it cannot keep the ones he gave himself to save
and as the universe shatters the darkness disolves
he alone will be honored
we will bathe in his splendor
as all heads bow lower still
all heads bow lower still
The blood of his mother has mixed with the Earth
and she's just a child who's throbbing in pain

AND ON WE GO...
Another Sunday gone by, so here is another blog post for you all.
The songs we did on Sunday are now on the ipod to the left for your enjoyment. Of course they are the original versions of the songs and not our band specifically, but maybe someday I will put the actual recordings of our band on here. The very first song on the list is My Soul Longs For You done by Misty Edwards. We actually did the version done by Jesus Culture, so don't be confused!

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?!
Ladies and gentlemen...
This is the very first post of this awesome new blog for the Kineo Church Worship team. This is going to be ridiculously awesome because of the content and resources we will be able to post for all of you who would like to keep up with what music we have/will be playing each Sunday as well as other additional worship resources that we may be using. Another cool feature is the music player to the left of this post which will be updated weekly (Lord willing!) with the songs that were played the previous Sunday.
The purpose of this blog is let you become part of the worship experience that we create each week. Please feel free to comment with likes and dislikes, comments and suggestions, and all around encouragement both musically and sprirtually!
Thanks for all of your support and desire to be a part of what we do!
